Timoteo, Colli Pesaresi Sangiovese DOC, comes from the old vineyards of Magliano and Carignano, at approximately 200 metres above sea level, an area with South-East sun exposure. These vineyards spread their roots in excellent tufaceous soil which generates a full-bodied and structured wine with a characteristic taste.
Thanks to the accurate selection done during hand-picking, only the best bunches are used here. They are destemmed and crushed. The subsequent fermentation and maceration process is done at controlled temperatures, with the skins, for 15-20 days. The fining process is done in barrique, tonneau and large oak barrels, for 8-10 months.
As with white wine, we have chosen to promote local typical grapes and to preserve the family’s traditions, reproducing the old vines planted by Grand-grandfather Timoteo and planting the cuttings of Sangiovese and Montepulciano.
